Jesus personal Savior, aka The Higher-self

In my youth, (around age 12), my parents having converted from Catholicism to “Born-Again” Christianity, instructed me in the primary doctrine of that sect, which is vicarious atonement, aka, “Jesus paid for our sins.” A corollary of that concept is that one must “accept Jesus as one’s personal savior, and invite Jesus into one’s heart; once this is done, Jesus is always with us, our intimate friend, ever present as the “still small voice,” and trustworthy confidant to whom we may always turn to for consolation and council. I have subsequently rejected the idea that Jesus’ death was a bloody payment to the wrath of the Father as irrational. I made a video called “Did Jesus pay for our sins?”, and it can be found on YouTube .

To find my channel, type: @thewordisspirit , in the YouTube search bar.

I rejected vicarious atonement, but I did not reject the idea of Jesus in my heart, because it was very real to me. I experience the Divine presence in my heart. I perceive God’s companionship from the deepest part of my consciousness. The scripture reference for this concept is:

Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he withMe.” Revelations 3:10

This is talking about the door of our consciousness.

Jesus is a symbol of the Divine Light within each of us: (The Word, Jesus) Is the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. (John 1:9)

In the Bible, Jesus is symbolic of our higher self. He is a representation of our individual higher level of consciousness which is in direct receptivity of Divine influx; our soul is the Divine Presence uniquely individuated as each of us.

To acknowledge “Jesus” as personal savior, and to invite Him to come into our consciousness and dine with us, and to recognize that inner light mentioned in John 1:9 , will create a new reality in our spiritual state. God will not inflict His presence upon us. We must invite the Divine to make himself known, and we must choose and invite His continual presence and guidance, before He can be there for us. Acknowledging the reality of the Divine within each of us, and asking for the Divine to be an actual perceived conscious experience will change your life completely. If we try to know God’s presence as our constant guide and companion, this will put us in a position to receive His Grace in a more powerful way.

I implore you to pray that the Divine Light (aka Jesus) will manifest in your consciousness and make His presence constant and real to your perception; this is to say, you should ask that the Divine Light, which is your higher-self, your inner light, to become the guide that will “save” you from your lower-self. Unless you have faith in that Divine Light, the Divine Presence, which is in the deepest part of your consciousness, and are faithful to it, you cannot be saved.

The Divine Light as a perceived presence in the individual consciousness, can guide us from evil to grace.

This is what it means to say that Jesus came to save the world from sin.
